Boundary Commission for Scotland

The Boundary Commission for Scotland is responsible for reviews of:

  • constituencies and regions for the Scottish Parliament; and
  • constituencies in Scotland for the Westminster Parliament.

Full reviews are carried out approximately every 10 years, with interim reviews of selected areas carried out between full reviews if necessary.


The Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland is a separate body which is responsible for reviewing local government boundaries in Scotland. Details of its work can be found at http://www.lgbc-scotland.gov.uk.
