First Periodic Review of Scottish Parliament Boundaries
Further Recommendations for constituencies
The Further Recommendations for constituencies for the Scottish Parliament were published on 3 September 2009, with a consultation period from 3 September 2009 to 3 October 2009.
The Commission considered the representations received during the consultation during October 2009, and made a statement that in its report it expected to recommend the constituencies that were in these Further Recommendations for constituencies for Aberdeen City; Argyll and Bute; and City of Edinburgh council areas, and for all other council areas that it expected to recommend the constituencies that were in its Revised Recommendations for constituencies. The Commission subsequently published its Final Recommendations in May 2010.
The Commission decided on its Further Recommendations for constituencies after consideration of representations received concerning its Revised Recommendations for constituencies. The Further Recommendations concern the Aberdeen City, Argyll and Bute, and City of Edinburgh council areas. The Commission has not proposed any other changes to its Revised Recommendations for constituencies. See the important note concerning the effect of current Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland reviews on these proposals.
