The Boundary Commission for Scotland published its Provisional Proposals for constituencies for the Scottish Parliament on 14 February 2008. This publication is part of the Commission's First Periodic Review of Scottish Parliament Boundaries which was announced on 3 July 2007. The Provisional Proposals were superseded by the Commission's Revised Recommendations for constituencies, published in May 2009.
