First Periodic Review of Scottish Parliament Boundaries
Revised Recommendations for regions
The Revised Recommendations for regions were published for public consultation during the period 7 January 2010 to 7 February 2010.
The Commission considered the representations received during the consultation during February 2010, and made a statement that in its report it expected to recommend these Revised Recommendations for Central Scotland, Highlands and Islands, Lothian, South Scotland and West Scotland regions, and its Provisional Proposals for Glasgow, Mid Scotland and Fife, and North East Scotland regions. The Commission subsequently published its Final Recommendations in May 2010.
The Commission decided on these Revised Recommendations after considering the report from the Local Inquiry into its Provisional Proposals for regions, and the representations made concerning those Provisional Proposals for regions. See the important note concerning the effect of current Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland reviews on this review.
