Scottish Parliament regions 1999 - 2011

These are the Scottish Parliament regions in use from 1999, at the establishment of the modern Scottish Parliament, until 2011.

They came into being as a result of the Commission's Second Supplementary Report of the European Parliamentary Constituencies which reported in 1996, and were used as European Parliament constituencies 1999 to 2004. They were replaced by regions resulting from the Commission's First Periodic Review of Scottish Parliament boundaries which were first used in elections in 2011.
