UK Parliament constituencies 1997 - 2005
These are the 72 UK Parliament constituencies in Scotland that were in use at the UK Parliament General Elections in 1997 and 2001. They came into being as a result of the Commission's Fourth Periodical Report which was submitted in 1994. They were replaced by constituencies resulting from the Commission's Fifth Periodical Review of constituencies which reported to the Secretary of State for Scotland in December 2004.
These were also used as the Scottish Parliament constituencies from 1999 to 2011, apart from the Orkney and Shetland constituency which was subdivided for the Scottish Parliament.
